I had the pleasure of witnessing my 8th grade HER students mature, grow, & truly learn to love and respect themselves with HER Mentorship. My mentee started her 8th grade school year heavy. She lacked confidence within herself, and due to her environment, she had lost trust in the women figures in her life. It was through the HER program that I learned about her background, and I was able to earn her trust. Week by week she began to open up more and gain confidence in herself. By the end of the year, my mentee was smiling more and walking with her head up, and she had become the president of the Student Council. It was because of HER Mentorship Program, which fostered her growth as a young lady!

I had the privilege of witnessing Brandi create and implement HER, and I also had the pleasure of serving as a mentor in the program. It was clear that she dedicated significant time and effort to ensure each lesson was meaningful for both the mentees and mentors. The lessons were designed to foster strong mental and emotional character in the participants. My mentee and I thoroughly enjoyed the various activities Brandi organized each week, which helped strengthen our bond and created an uplifting experience that everyone looked forward to. I highly recommend HER, both as a consumer and a participant!

Working with HER program as a mentor made me feel very confident as well as excited in being a part of a young girl’s life. Being able to work with a mentee and talking about various aspects of life and about school as well was rewarding in numerous ways. I made sure my mentee felt comfortable speaking with me. We used our HER journal as a part of our daily routine, which helped us get to know each other better. It was an absolute pleasure being a mentor with the HER program.

When I was in the HER program, I felt so comforted. I had someone to talk to about my problems - even the silly ones like boys. One of my favorite parts was the times I spent with my mentor. My mentor gave me the best advice in many different situations I had. For example, my mentor, Mrs. Savoie once told me, “Love myself and do not let anyone tell me otherwise.” l didn't believe it at first, naturally, but as I began to mature, I saw how much of what she told me was true. My other favorite part of the HER program was the after school HER Time Meetings, where we all talk to one another on so many good topics. It was incredible because I related to and connected with girls I probably would have never talked to because of my shyness. With all this said, I hope you consider joining the HER Mentorship Program!

The HER program is powerful! Being in HER has deepened my faith and helped me connect with other young women who share my values. The focus on wellness and community service has enriched my life in ways I couldn't have imagined. I'm not just planning for a successful future; I'm living a fulfilling present."

The H.E.R. Program isn't just about mentorship, it's about building a community where everyone lifts each other up. Thanks to the H.E.R. Program, I've set and achieved goals I once thought were out of reach. The mentoring and faith-based activities have guided me down the right path and shown me how to lead with love and integrity.
